N6-Benzoyl-2'-deoxy-5'-O-DMTr-2'-fluoroadenosine is a sulfur containing compound that is an antibiotic. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to their ribosomes, which prevents protein synthesis and cell division. N6-Benzoyl-2'-deoxy-5'-O-DMTr-2'-fluoroadenosine also inhibits chemotaxis in roseobacters, which is the movement of cells or organisms in response to certain factors.
